THE SEVEN CACKRAMENTS!
In all seriousness I have major problems with
"The Seven Sacraments" and teachings about them.
They date from the time and policies of Hildebrand.
One thing alone - for me personally - completely compromises the medieval teaching of -
The Seven (Lucky for Some) Sacraments.....
the fact that one of them is
Admission to the Priesthood - which incorrectly means compulsory celibacy - a thing that we all know to be hardly possible.
The teaching of the so-called "Seven Sacraments" dates from around 1100 and is of course a way of controlling clergy and laity alike!
1100 is half way throo the history of the church so far.
This is one reason to suspect that this teaching has little to do with Christ's teachings!
